2027: Amaechi gives condition to support ADC presidential candidate

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has stated that he will support the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate in the 2027 elections, but only if the candidate emerges from a free and fair primary election. Amaechi made this declaration during an event called X Space tagged Weekend Politics.

He emphasized his commitment to supporting the ADC candidate in order to unseat President Bola Tinubu, as long as the primary election process is transparent. Amaechi expressed his willingness to assist the ADC candidate in any way possible to defeat the current government, which he described as "clueless." He also highlighted the importance of electoral reform, stating that it should be a priority for the next President.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former presidential candidate Peter Obi are believed to be interested in the ADC presidential ticket.
