Onanuga Claims Amaechi Aware of 2027 Election Failure

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, asserted that Rotimi Amaechi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), understands that their mission to defeat President Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 election is destined to fail. This statement follows Amaechi's previous comments during a Trust TV interview, where he criticized the ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, labeling him as unelectable due to his history of failing to convert party primary victories into general election wins.

Amaechi emphasized that while Atiku has consistently won internal party primaries since 1992, he has not succeeded in presidential elections. Onanuga reacted to Amaechi's remarks on his 𝕏 handle, stating that Amaechi knows their joint ticket with Atiku is a "joke" and that their efforts to challenge President Tinubu in January would ultimately be unsuccessful.
