OPay Reveals Top 10 Teams in National Innovation Challenge

OPay has named the top 10 teams in its N18 million National Innovation Challenge, which received applications from over 11,000 students and 2,200 teams. Following a rigorous selection process, 48 teams were shortlisted to participate in a six-week employability Webinar aimed at enhancing their skills.

The top 10 teams that emerged from this stage will now advance to an intensive Boot Camp, where they will collaborate with experienced mentors and industry professionals to further develop and refine their solutions. Itoro Udoh, CSR Manager at OPay, stated that the initiative aims to create pathways for young Nigerians to transform their ideas into opportunities.

The challenge not only recognizes innovative ideas but also offers participants practical experience and potential internship opportunities with OPay and partner organizations for those who excel. The top 10 teams include Lyrclip from Miva Open University, ResearchFlow from Olabisi Onabanjo University, CampusCheck from Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Veripay from Benue State University, CoursePass from Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Teamcobuild from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Verified Hands, SkoolConnectNG from Yaba College of Technology, Thrifty from Ahmadu Bello University, and Team Paye from Adeleke University.
