Ambode Backs Tinubu's Reelection at 74th Birthday Prayer

Akinwunmi Ambode, the former governor of Lagos State, publicly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's reelection bid during a special prayer session held in Lagos to celebrate Tinubu's 74th birthday. Ambode commended Tinubu's bold economic reforms and visionary leadership, highlighting the importance of the president's strategies, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates.

He noted that while these measures may have initially caused discomfort, they are essential for stabilizing the nation's economy and restoring confidence in Nigeria's economic trajectory. Ambode called on Nigerians to appreciate the complexities of governance and to support Tinubu's continued efforts to uplift the lives of ordinary citizens.

The event was organized by the Mandate Movement, with Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa also praising Tinubu's leadership qualities, including his courage and foresight.
