Bode George Critiques APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Bode George, the former deputy national chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed strong criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a "coalition of strange bedfellows." During the inauguration of the new PDP executive in Lagos State, he warned that the ruling party is pushing Nigeria to the brink and plotting to rig the 2027 elections. George cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against engaging in electoral malpractice and emphasized the need for fair and transparent elections.

He highlighted the lack of constitutional authority for political party leaders within the APC and stated that the PDP would resist any irresponsible behavior from electoral authorities. Additionally, he criticized the conduct of recent elections in the Federal Capital Territory, describing them as shambolic and mismanaged, with allegations of security agents disrupting voting and ballot box snatching.

George reaffirmed the PDP's commitment to opposing anti-democratic elements within the APC.
