Bode George: Nigerians Will Shock APC in 2027 Elections

Bode George, a notable figure in the People's Democratic Party (PDP), addressed the APC during the inauguration of the Lagos State Executive Committee on Friday, asserting that Nigerians are hungry and will surprise the ruling party in the 2027 elections. He described the PDP as a reborn political party poised to reclaim power, following a national convention held in Ibadan in November 2025.

George highlighted the party's resilience despite pressures and alleged intimidation from APC, stating that the PDP remains unshaken by threats of defections from governors and lawmakers. He warned against anti-democratic elements within the APC that could destabilize the political landscape and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain neutrality.

Newly inaugurated Lagos State PDP Chairman Dr. Amo Fawol emphasized the importance of rebuilding trust and strengthening the party's structure at all levels to present a credible alternative to Lagos residents.
