APC's Akpabio Highlights Achievements Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, asserted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has substantial achievements to present to Nigerians as the party gears up for the 2027 elections. Akpabio made these remarks during a courtesy visit from the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, TETfund, and NELfund, led by Senator Dandutse Mohammed, at his residence in Uyo on Monday.

He emphasized that President Tinubu has significantly improved the economy, noting that when he assumed office, 27 states were unable to pay salaries and pensions. Akpabio expressed confidence that Nigerians would recognize these achievements and re-elect Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

He also mentioned the Senate's accomplishments under his leadership and encouraged his colleagues to remain loyal to the party and the President. Senator Muntari Dandutse, chairman of the committee, indicated that their visit to Akwa Ibom State was for sensitization and oversight regarding TETFUND's executed infrastructures.
