Akpabio: Tinubu Transformed Nigeria's Troubled Economy

On a visit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, declared that President Bola Tinubu inherited an economy in shambles but has since transformed it through innovative thinking and economic reengineering. Akpabio, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed confidence that the party would showcase substantial achievements during its campaign for the 2027 general elections, predicting Tinubu's re-election.

He noted that when Tinubu took office, 27 states struggled to pay salaries and pensions, but improvements have been made. Akpabio emphasized that the administration's accomplishments would be key campaign issues, asserting that Nigerians would judge the government based on its record.

He also challenged opposition politicians to present their own records for comparison, claiming they are aware of the government's achievements but refuse to acknowledge them due to political interests. Additionally, he defended the performance of the 10th National Assembly under his leadership, asserting significant contributions to national development.
