APC Leaders Urge Ogundip to Accept Primary Election Loss

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, represented by Chief Dele Ogunsakin of the Oshodi Isolo Mandate Movement, have called on Hon. Stephen Ogundip to accept the results of the primary election for the 2027 polls.

Hon. Mayowa Alakija emerged as the clear winner, securing 10,514 votes compared to Ogundip's 1,737 votes.

The leaders asserted that the primary election was conducted fairly and reflected the wishes of party members across the constituency. They addressed claims circulating on social media that suggested Ogundip had won, labeling them as misleading.

The movement urged Ogundip to demonstrate maturity and commitment to party unity by respecting the election outcome. They emphasized that internal party contests should not be treated as life-and-death affairs and that unity among members is crucial for the APC's success in upcoming elections.

The leaders reiterated that the results are final and urged all members to rally behind Alakija as the party's candidate.
