Ondo APC Candidates Urge Unity After Primaries

Candidates from the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have appealed for peace and unity among party members following the conclusion of the National Assembly primary elections. Michael Akintomid, speaking on behalf of the candidates for Ondo West and Ondo East federal constituencies, urged aggrieved members to remain calm and respect the party's supremacy.

He emphasized that there is no need for agitation and that the National Working Committee (NWC) has conducted the elections in accordance with the party's constitution. Akintomid reaffirmed that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa remains the leader of the APC in Ondo State and expressed confidence in the party's leadership to work together ahead of the 2027 elections.

Jimi Odimayo, another APC candidate, called on members to rally behind the party's candidates, describing the APC as a united family despite the competitive nature of the nomination process. The candidates acknowledged the role of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the NWC in successfully conducting the primaries.
