APC Reopens E-Registration for 2027 Elections Nationwide

The All Progressives Congress (APC) announced the reopening of its electronic membership registration exercise nationwide, effective August 31, 2026, as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. The registration will occur across all wards in Nigeria, allowing both existing and prospective members to participate.

Current members are required to validate their records, while new entrants are invited to register formally. APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka stated that the initiative aims to build a reliable, digitally managed membership register, enhancing the party's organizational structure and planning capabilities.

Participation is open to Nigerians aged 18 and above with a valid National Identification Number. The exercise is significant for the APC, which governs at the federal and state levels, as it seeks to eliminate inaccuracies in membership records and strengthen internal party administration.

The emphasis on electronic registration reflects the increasing importance of digital systems in managing large membership structures ahead of elections.
