APC Completes Candidate Upload for 2027 Elections Early

Ahead of the 2027 general election, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, announced that the party has successfully uploaded all its candidates for various elective positions into the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.

This achievement was disclosed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki. The upload was completed well ahead of the original deadline set by INEC, showcasing the APC's organizational strength and readiness for the elections.

While the APC met the deadline, other political parties struggled and requested additional time, leading INEC to extend the deadline from August 8, 2026, to August 11, 2026. Yilwatda emphasized that this accomplishment reflects the party's capacity for planning and execution, crucial for the upcoming elections, which he described as one of the most significant in Nigeria's history.
