APC Confirms No Review of 2027 Primary Election Results

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially closed the door on any review of the primary election results for the 2027 general elections, which were held from May 16 to 18, 2023. This decision comes despite numerous petitions from disgruntled aspirants across the country who allege manipulation and unfair practices during the primaries.

The party's national working committee stated that the results submitted to the national secretariat are final and will not be reconsidered. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is set to release access codes for the nomination portal on June 26, with a deadline for candidate submissions on July 11.

Notably, 54 serving federal lawmakers, including senators and representatives, failed to secure re-election tickets during the primaries. Aggrieved aspirants from states such as Lagos, Delta, and Rivers have threatened legal action and demanded fresh primaries.

The party leadership has dismissed these appeals as frivolous, asserting that the primary results will remain unchanged.
