APGA Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially named President Bola Tinubu as its preferred candidate for the upcoming 2027 presidential election. The party has decided not to present its own presidential candidate, as confirmed by Mazi Ejimofor Opara, the party's national public secretary.

Opara explained that the absence of a presidential candidate's name on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal should not be interpreted as a failure to comply with electoral guidelines. The decision to support Tinubu's re-election was reached after extensive consultations within the party's ranks and was concluded by the National Executive Committee (NEC).

Despite not fielding a presidential candidate, APGA has successfully uploaded its candidates for the National Assembly and State House Assembly elections to the INEC portal. The party remains focused on winning legislative seats across various states while mobilizing support for Tinubu's re-election campaign.
