Accord Party's Imumolen Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Election

Professor Christopher Imumolen, the factional presidential candidate and National Chairman of Accord Party, announced his withdrawal from the 2027 presidential race during a news conference in Lagos on Friday. He endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, stating that Tinubu is well positioned to win due to his reforms, leadership, and growing support across Nigeria.

Imumolen emphasized that national interest should take precedence over personal ambition, asserting that Tinubu's re-election is inevitable as Nigerians begin to appreciate the benefits of his administration's reform agenda despite economic challenges. He outlined ten reasons for the party's endorsement, including Tinubu's courage in implementing difficult economic reforms, leadership capacity, commitment to progressive governance, youth empowerment, and placing national interest above personal ambition.

Imumolen also noted that no opposition candidate had a stronger prospect than Tinubu and commended the administration for appointing young Nigerians to strategic positions.
