Bamidele Promises 10 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Opeyemi Bamidele, a leader in the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledged on Monday to mobilize at least 10 million votes from the South West geopolitical zone for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in the 2027 presidential election. This commitment follows Tinubu's emergence as the APC's presidential candidate after securing a significant victory in the party's primaries held nationwide on Saturday, where he garnered 10,991,000 votes against his sole challenger, Stanlei Osifo, who received 16,503 votes.

Bamidele expressed confidence that the APC would secure victory in the upcoming election, citing Tinubu's track record of implementing tough policies during challenging economic times. He highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects under Tinubu's administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway, which are expected to boost economic growth.

Bamidele also noted improvements in Nigeria's crude oil production and foreign reserves, emphasizing the positive economic growth rates recorded in recent years.
