Bolarinwa Declares Candidacy for Kwara Governorship 2027

On Thursday, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, the former chairman of the APC in Kwara State, announced his candidacy for the governorship in the 2027 elections. He expressed a strong commitment to advancing the state's development and emphasized his extensive experience as a grassroots politician.

Bolarinwa's political career includes serving as a councillor, two terms as chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, and two terms as a member of the House of Representatives. He was elected chairman of the APC in Kwara State in 2018, playing a pivotal role in the party's success during the 2019 general elections.

His leadership has been recognized by various stakeholders, including Princ Sundai Fagbemi, who praised his contributions to the party. Bolarinwa holds a PhD in International Relations and has a background that equips him to tackle the socio-economic challenges facing Kwara State.

He has garnered support from APC stakeholders, including Hajia Fatima Gogata and Benjamin Yissa Ezekiel, who highlighted his proven track record and leadership capabilities.
