Mbah's Second Term Bid Gains Momentum in Enugu

The campaign for Peter Mbah's second term as Governor of Enugu is intensifying, marked by significant rallies and endorsements across the state. Two major events occurred over the weekend in Enugu East and Enugu West, where the Awkunanaw clan declared Mbah as their sole candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

Traditional rulers, including HRH Igw Obi Igwesi, presented the "Ofo" to Mbah, symbolizing their unwavering support and warning against any opposition from within the clan. Former Senate President Ken Nnamani highlighted the clan's commitment to Mbah, noting that he has only served three years of his term and deserves a second chance.

Nnamani emphasized the importance of unity among the Awkunanaw people to ensure Mbah's re-election. Additionally, a rally organized by the Progress Congress APC in the western part of the state demonstrated support for Mbah and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showcasing the political landscape's dynamics as the 2027 elections approach.
