Ohanaeze Ndigbo Endorses Peter Mbah for 2027 Elections

On a recent Saturday, the Enugu State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo endorsed Governor Peter Mbah for a second term in the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. The endorsement was made during a stakeholders' meeting held at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu, where the organization recognized President Bola Tinubu's strategic projects aimed at the South East, particularly in Enugu State.

The meeting included various leaders, traditional rulers, market leaders, and representatives from youth and women's groups. Bianca Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, highlighted Mbah's transformative leadership and commitment to infrastructure development, economic revitalization, and human capital enhancement.

Ohanaeze emphasized the importance of maintaining political stability and equity in the region, reaffirming their support for Mbah as the sole candidate for the 2027 elections. The organization commended Tinubu's efforts in national economic reforms and infrastructure projects, including the approval for the extension of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and ongoing road constructions in Enugu State.
