INEC Mandates Personal Collection of PVCs in Oyo State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the collection of newly printed Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Oyo State will be strictly by personal appearance, prohibiting proxy collection. This announcement was made by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Oyo State, Professor Adeniran Tella, in a statement released on Tuesday.
The PVC collection is set to commence on Friday, October 9, 2026, across all 33 INEC local government area offices in the state. Tella urged the public and stakeholders to cooperate with the commission during this process.
He also noted that there are many uncollected PVCs from previous elections still held by the commission, advising their owners to take advantage of this period to collect them. The commission has arranged for the exercise to be conducted transparently and peacefully, in collaboration with security agents throughout the state.
