INEC Launches PVC Collection Across Nigeria Starting October

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun distributing Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across Nigeria as part of the preparations for the upcoming elections. The collection exercise started on October 9, 2026, and will run until October 15, 2026, at designated Registration Area (RA) or ward centers.
This initiative allows newly registered voters, those who transferred their registration, applicants for replacement cards, and eligible voters who have not yet collected their PVCs to obtain their cards. After October 15, collection will transition to INEC's Local Government Area (LGA) offices.
Voters are advised to collect their cards personally and should bring their voter registration slip or Temporary Voter’s Card (TVC) for identification. Collection hours are set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Voters can check their PVC status and collection locations through INEC's online portal and should confirm any additional identification requirements with the relevant INEC office.
