COSEYL to Launch Electoral Sensitization for 2027 Elections

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), led by Comrade Goodluck Ibem, announced plans to embark on a comprehensive electoral sensitization tour across South East Nigeria in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The initiative aims to educate and empower citizens to defend their votes and uphold democratic principles.

COSEYL's statement highlights a firm commitment to protect the sanctity of the ballot and warns against any attempts at electoral manipulation or malpractice. The organization emphasizes that such actions would be a direct assault on Nigeria's democratic foundation, as outlined in Section 14(2)(c) of the Nigerian Constitution, which guarantees the people's right to participate in governance.

COSEYL intends to mobilize citizens within the law to resist any attempts to rig or subvert the electoral process and calls on security agencies to uphold their constitutional responsibilities without engaging in partisan interests that undermine free and fair elections.
