South East Youth Leaders Vow to Combat Electoral Rigging

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has declared its commitment to resist any attempts at electoral rigging in the upcoming 2027 general elections. In a statement released on Monday, COSEYL emphasized that the people of the South East will not tolerate electoral fraud or manipulation that undermines their voting rights.

The group, led by President General Goodluck Ibem, warned that any efforts by individuals or political parties to tamper with the electoral process will be met with collective resistance. COSEYL highlighted the importance of prioritizing candidates with proven records of good governance and genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.

The coalition urged citizens to obtain and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as essential tools for shaping the future and ensuring accountable leadership. Additionally, COSEYL called for peaceful vigilance during the elections and a rejection of any form of inducement or intimidation.
