David Mark Responds to Obi and Kwankwaso's Defection

David Mark, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), responded to the recent defection of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). During a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, Mark acknowledged that the exit of these two prominent political figures would affect the ADC.

However, he assured Nigerians that the ADC would continue to field credible and capable candidates to secure victory in the upcoming 2027 elections. Mark expressed confidence that the challenges posed by the current political landscape would ultimately strengthen the party's determination to succeed in the polls.

He noted that the departures of Obi and Kwankwaso would motivate the ADC to work harder, as they aim to overcome internal divisions and lingering court cases that have affected the party.
