ADC Urges INEC to Expedite PVC Collection for 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the printed Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are made available to those who registered for them in a timely manner ahead of the 2027 elections. In a statement issued on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC argued that any delay in releasing PVCs constitutes a form of voter suppression.

The party demanded that INEC publish a clear nationwide timetable for the production, distribution, and collection of PVCs, emphasizing that no registered Nigerian should be disenfranchised due to administrative delays. The ADC expressed concern for millions of Nigerians who participated in the voter registration process and deserve clarity on the availability of their PVCs.

The party also called for a state-by-state breakdown of newly registered voters and urged INEC to enhance public information campaigns to facilitate the collection process. The ADC plans to mobilize its structures nationwide to monitor PVC distribution and address complaints from voters unable to obtain their cards.
