Bello El-Rufai Sets Conditions for APC Exit Ahead of 2027

Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has publicly addressed speculation regarding his potential exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections. He firmly stated that he is not under pressure from social media users to make this move, emphasizing his loyalty to the voters of Kaduna North, where he won a representative seat with 51,052 votes, defeating PDP candidate Samaila, who received 34,808 votes.

Bello highlighted that his mandate belongs to the 51,052 voters and reiterated his respect for his father, whom he referred to as "Mallam." He also challenged social media users by stating he would send 10 million naira to convince the voters who gave him their mandate. Additionally, he expressed pride in his lineage and loyalty to the current Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, while also indicating that he would not resign from his seat.
