Atiku Abubakar Pressured to Withdraw from 2027 Race

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, is under mounting pressure to step aside from the 2027 presidential race amid the growing momentum of a potential alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso. This coalition is being formed ahead of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primaries and is seen as a strategic move to unify opposition forces against the ruling party led by President Bola Tinubu.

Notable figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, are reportedly backing the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, which is believed to offer a stronger electoral advantage. Dele Momodu, a media figure, has also advocated for an Atiku-Obi ticket.

Meanwhile, Victor Umeh has urged Atiku to consider stepping aside, reflecting a broader sentiment among stakeholders within the party favoring the Obi-Kwankwaso combination.
