Obidient Movement Challenges Wike's Role in 2027 Elections

The Obidient Movement has issued a warning to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, regarding his claim of being the field commander for President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign in the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State. In a statement from their Media and Communications Directorate, the movement asserted that the 2027 election is not Wike's personal battle, nor is it the private property of Tinubu or the All Progressives Congress (APC).

They expressed concerns about election integrity and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure a free, fair, and credible electoral process. The movement emphasized that Wike should allow voters to decide the election outcome and warned against any attempts to manipulate the electoral process.

They called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, document irregularities, and protect their votes, stating that the electoral process belongs to the people, not to any individual or political party.
