Ayodele Warns APC of Overconfidence Ahead of 2027 Election

Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder and head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos, cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu regarding the potential risks of overconfidence as the 2027 presidential election approaches. In a statement released on Friday, August 28, through his media aide Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele indicated that the APC's belief that money alone could secure re-election and their perception of Tinubu as untouchable could be detrimental.

He noted that everyday Nigerians are experiencing economic hardship and deteriorating security, leading to a growing resentment that the APC is failing to acknowledge. Ayodele warned that unless immediate actions are taken to alleviate the burdens on Nigerians, the rejection at the polls could exceed the APC's expectations.

He also criticized Tinubu's presidential campaign council, stating that no group could shift public sentiment if the core issues driving voter frustration remain unresolved.
