Cleric Warns Against Vote-Buying for 2027 Elections

During a special prayer organized by the GOH Integr Group in Offa, Kwara State, Islamic cleric Murtala Hashim Al Adabii expressed his support for presidential aspirant Gbenga Olawepo Hashim for the 2027 elections. Al Adabii cautioned against the growing influence of money in Nigeria's electoral process, stating that the country cannot afford to let financial corruption undermine its democratic credibility.

He urged political parties to prioritize candidates with proven integrity and a track record free from corruption allegations. Al Adabii described Olawepo Hashim as a leader with the necessary character and experience to steer the country.

He also called for leaders who fear God and can govern without bias towards ethnic or religious lines. Muham Kamardeen Abubakar, the national coordinator of the GOH Integr Group, echoed the need for unity among Nigeria's diverse ethnic and religious groups and advised voters to choose leaders based on character and courage rather than financial influence.
