APC's Hamzat Reveals 100-Point Agenda for Lagos 2027

Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the incumbent Deputy Governor of Lagos State, presented a 100-point development agenda aimed at enhancing public transportation, affordable housing, security, and access to potable water if elected in 2027. The unveiling occurred on Friday at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Iganmu, Lagos.

Hamzat's transportation plan includes increasing the bus fleet from 1,000 to 4,000 to transport one million passengers daily, expanding the rail network, and integrating road, rail, and water transport systems. He also committed to completing ongoing housing projects and introducing affordable homeownership schemes.

On security, he plans to strengthen the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency and enhance community surveillance. His administration aims to improve access to mortgage facilities with lower initial deposits and interest rates, thereby addressing housing challenges in the state.
