Enugu East Backs Tinubu, Mbah for 2027 Elections

On a Saturday rally at Okpara Square in Enugu State, the Enugu East Senatorial Zone publicly declared its support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah's re-election campaign for the 2027 general elections. The rally included endorsements from various local leaders, such as Senator Kelvin Chukwu and Representatives Nnolim Nnaji and Iloabuchi Aniagu, who backed Mbah's second-term bid.

Former Senate President Ken Nnamani praised Mbah as a visionary leader with strong implementation capabilities. The event also featured a call for unity among stakeholders and emphasized the importance of voter registration ahead of the elections.

Governor Mbah expressed gratitude for the support and reiterated his commitment to transforming Enugu State through ongoing reforms in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He announced plans for a free school feeding program in public schools starting September 2026.

The rally showcased cultural performances from the six local government areas within the senatorial zone.
