Halliru Jika Secures ADC Governorship Ticket for 2027

Halliru Jika has received the endorsement of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its sole governorship candidate for the 2027 Bauchi State elections. This announcement was made on Friday by Ishaya Bauka, the chairman of the ADC electoral committee, during a grand conference held in Bauchi.

The electoral process was conducted in accordance with the party's guidelines and democratic procedures. Jika expressed gratitude to the party leadership and delegates for their support and pledged to lead the ADC to victory in the upcoming elections.

He emphasized the party's strong political structure capable of taking leadership in the state. Jika previously represented the Bauchi Central senatorial district from 2019 to 2023 and contested the 2023 governorship election on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party before defecting to the ADC.

The ADC's senatorial candidates for the 2027 elections include Garba Dahiru for Bauchi South, Abdul Ningi for Bauchi Central, and Nazif Gamawa for Bauchi North.
