Tunde Lemo Announces 2027 Ogun Governorship Bid

Tunde Lemo, who previously served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), announced his intention to run for the governorship of Ogun State in the 2027 elections. This declaration was made on Wednesday during a ward congress held at Ward 12, Ita Agemo, in Abeokuta.

Lemo responded to questions regarding the governorship race and commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their peaceful conduct during the congress, which he described as calm and orderly. He attributed this positive atmosphere to the renewed hope agenda of Bola Tinubu's administration and the leadership of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun over the past six years.

Lemo characterized the congress as a critical step towards strengthening party leadership and grassroots mobilization within the state. He affirmed that his focus would remain on governance and serving the people of Ogun State.
