Ogun 2027: Aspirants Declare for Governorship Race

The 2027 governorship race in Ogun State has begun to attract attention with several aspirants declaring their interest. Key figures include Dr.

Tund Lemo, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, who announced his candidacy in Abeokuta, and Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, a three-time member of the House of Representatives.

Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, a federal lawmaker, also announced his bid late last year.

Dr. Biodun Ogundipe is focusing his campaign on education, digital skills, and girl-child empowerment.

Iyabo Obasanjo Bello, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, is reportedly backed by traditional rulers and is expected to run for the governorship.
