Shittu Declares Candidacy for 2027 Reps Seat in Kwara

Akintad Abdulmutalib Shittu, the former chairman of the Kwara State Geographic Information Service, announced his candidacy for the Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC). The declaration ceremony took place at the Sofoluw Hall of Offa Grammar School in Offa on Sunday.

Shittu emphasized the importance of effective representation and the need for strategic engagement to attract development to the constituency. He pledged to deliver quality representation and address the unique challenges faced by the area.

Shittu expressed confidence in the APC's strength and commended the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting the party's growing acceptance in Kwara State and across the country. He noted that the administration has increased federal allocations to the state, enabling the government to pay salaries without issues.

Shittu firmly believes that Nigerians will re-elect President Tinubu in 2027.
