Kwara APC Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027. This decision was made during a mega rally held in Irepodun Local Government Area, where political leaders from across southern Kwara convened.

Salihu Danladi Yakubu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, emphasized the need for a power shift to Kwara North, which has not produced a governor in the state's 27-year democratic history. Ibrahim Lawal, a retired director at the National Institute for Cultural Orientation, supported this call, highlighting the importance of equitable representation among the three senatorial districts.

The motion for the power shift was moved by Deputy Speaker Ojo Oyebod and received widespread backing from party stakeholders, including former local government chairmen. The rally also reaffirmed support for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who is praised for his impactful projects in the area, and expressed confidence in Tinubu's leadership and policies.
