Gbenga Daniel Critiques Abiodun's Governance in Ogun

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State and current senator representing Ogun East, criticized Governor Dapo Abiodun for his performance over nearly seven years in office. Daniel claimed that despite Ogun State receiving four times the federal allocation, the benefits have not been reflected in Ijebu Land, which comprises six local governments.

He accused Abiodun of failing to support federal projects in the area and remaining silent on the long-held dream of creating Ijebu State. Daniel also alleged that Abiodun played a vital role in the loss of the multibillion-naira Dangote refinery, which was supposed to be established in Ijebu Land.

As he prepares to contest for the Ogun East Senate seat in 2027, Daniel asserted that he would convincingly defeat Abiodun in the primaries, urging party members to vote for candidates who genuinely represent their interests.
