Otti Supports Tinubu's Second Term Bid, Says Lawmaker

On Sunday, a lawmaker from Abia State, Onwusib, announced that Governor Alex Otti will not oppose President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for a second term. This statement was made during the flag-off of a solar street light project in Umuimenyi, Abia State.

Onwusib emphasized that Otti's performance in office warrants support for Tinubu's second term. He noted that Otti has a history of political service since 1999, having served as a special adviser and later as a local government chairman.

The project, which involves the installation of 486 solar-powered street lights across Uzuakoli and Umuimenyi wards, aims to restore public confidence in the government and enhance security in the area. Chinasa, a facilitator of the project, highlighted its role in creating safer streets and enabling traders to extend their business hours.

The initiative aligns with Otti's vision for development in Abia State and aims to foster community pride and ownership.
