Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has declared his loyalty to the Labour Party, stating he will not defect and will work within the opposition party to address its internal issues. He emphasized his commitment to fixing problems within the party and improving healthcare services, particularly at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital.

Otti also mentioned ongoing rehabilitation work in the healthcare sector and efforts to rebuild trust in primary healthcare centers. Additionally, he highlighted plans for the construction of a medical city in Abia starting in 2026.
