Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has publicly refuted claims that he submitted the name of a preferred successor to President Bola Tinubu in anticipation of the governorship primaries. In a statement issued by his special adviser on media, Alhaji Bashir Adigun, the governor described the report as false and malicious, aimed at blackmailing him.

AbdulRazaq firmly rejected the insinuation that he had submitted any name to the president, emphasizing that such claims should be ignored by party members and stakeholders. He encouraged aspirants to focus their time and resources on legitimate pursuits rather than engaging in blackmail.
