Civic Group Urges Offoboche to Run for Ogoja/Yala Seat

A civic group has called on Hadiza Musa Ujah Offoboche to declare her intention to contest for the Ogoja/Yala House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections. This appeal was made during a press briefing held on Saturday in Abuja, attended by members of the Ogoja/Yala chapter.

Comrade Patrick Livingston, a spokesperson for the group, emphasized Offoboche's track record in humanitarian services and grassroots engagement, noting her philanthropic work through the Offoboche Foundation, which focuses on healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. The foundation has gained recognition across northern Cross River for its support of local health centers, distribution of educational materials, and financial assistance to women in small-scale businesses.

The group highlighted Offoboche's empathy and commitment to service as qualities that would make her a strong candidate for public office. They also noted the strategic advantage of engaging grassroots mobilization in the lead-up to the elections, underscoring the urgency for her to enter the political race.
