Coalition Urges Tinubu for Free Elections Ahead of 2027

A coalition of independent electoral observers has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to guarantee free and fair elections in Nigeria for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The call was made on Monday by a national delegation, which included a statement from Nwachukwu, who emphasized the importance of safety and protection for electoral observers.

The group urged security agencies to conduct elections without intimidation or harassment, highlighting that electoral observers should be allowed to operate freely during the polls. Nwachukwu reaffirmed the coalition's commitment to impartiality and transparency, noting that the delegation consists of experienced professionals with decades of expertise in election monitoring.

They plan to deploy 5,000 independent observers in line with international best practices and urged Nigerians to support the nationwide observation efforts. The coalition stressed that public support is essential to ensure transparency and accountability during the elections.
