Aborisade Urges Tinubu for Credible 2027 Elections

Niyi Aborisade, a human rights lawyer and a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on President Bola Tinubu to provide credible elections in Nigeria for the year 2027. In an interview, Aborisade highlighted the ADC's growth in Oyo State, driven by a steady influx of new members dissatisfied with the current political climate.

He noted the increasing disillusionment among Nigerians due to economic hardships and a perceived disconnect from the government, which has led to declining voter turnout. Aborisade emphasized the importance of re-engaging citizens to restore confidence in the electoral process.

He also addressed the recent conflicts within political parties, particularly the contradictions in court rulings affecting the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which have weakened public trust in the judiciary. The ADC is preparing for grassroots mobilization and aims to build a solid foundation for the upcoming elections, positioning itself as a credible alternative in Nigeria's political landscape.
