Keyamo Meets Saudi Delegation for 2027 Hajj Preparations

Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, engaged with a Saudi Arabian delegation to discuss early preparations for the 2027 Hajj operations. This meeting took place during the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt.

Keyamo stated that the discussions aimed to enhance planning and coordination for the upcoming Hajj season, particularly concerning air transportation and the seamless movement of Nigerian pilgrims. He emphasized the necessity of early preparations to ensure efficient coordination of the aviation component for a smoother experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

Additionally, Keyamo noted that the engagements with major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) provided Nigeria with opportunities to discuss collaboration in upgrading aviation infrastructure across the country. He highlighted the importance of these engagements in positioning Nigeria’s aviation industry for improved efficiency, safety, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
