Hayatu-Deen Pledges Support for ADC Primary Election Mode

On Wednesday, Dr. Moham Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), visited the party's screening committee at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.

He pledged to accept any mode of primary election that the party decides to adopt ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Hayatu-Deen, who previously submitted his nomination form, described the screening process as seamless and spent approximately one hour with the panel.

He addressed various issues, including Nigeria's insecurity, unemployment, rising cost of living, and declining infrastructure and healthcare systems. During the screening, he dismissed suggestions of complications regarding document verification and emphasized his loyalty to the party's rules.

Hayatu-Deen expressed confidence in his ability to win the primary election and stressed the importance of appointing capable individuals based on merit. He is set to face competition from notable figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi.
