2027: ‘He Shouldn’t Waste His Time’ – Shehu Sani Urges Jonathan Not To Contest

Former Senator Shehu Sani has advised former President Goodluck Jonathan not to contest in the 2027 presidential election. Sani expressed his views on Channels Television's Sunday Politics, stating that Jonathan should not waste his time trying to return to the political race, especially since the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost cohesion.

He highlighted Jonathan's previous tenure as Vice President and President, noting that he had already served his term and should not seek re-election. Sani also mentioned the emergence of a new opposition coalition, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), but dismissed it as lacking ideological differences from the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu.

The debate over Jonathan's potential return to politics has been gaining momentum, particularly in discussions about zoning the presidency to the South.
