Fubara Declares Independence in Rivers Governorship Bid

Bless Fubara, who is contesting for the governorship of Rivers State under the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), declared in an interview that he has no political godfather. He emphasized that his political journey is independent and driven by personal ambition.

Fubara insisted that he does not rely on any political influence, specifically dismissing suggestions that his brother, Governor Sim Fubara, plays a role in his political aspirations. He stated that his faith in God is his source of strength and that he is focused on working towards the betterment of Rivers State.

Fubara also mentioned that he aims to create a different narrative for the state, emphasizing the need for a clear vision and commitment to the people. He previously entered the governorship race after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is seeking a fresh political direction for Rivers State.
