Bless Fubara Joins Rivers Governorship Race for 2027

Bless Fubara has officially entered the race for the 2027 Rivers State governorship election by obtaining a nomination form from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday in Abuja. This move follows the withdrawal of the current governor.

Fubara, who hails from the Opobo/Nkoro local government area, is a development strategist with experience in urban renewal consulting and grassroots mobilization. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Development and Adult Education and is the Managing Director and CEO of D Consiglori LLC.

His entry into the race has garnered significant political attention, especially after his recent defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NDC two weeks prior. Fubara's decision to join the NDC was confirmed by the party's chairman in Rivers State, Success Jack, and he received support from NDC national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson.

Fubara aims to build a political movement that can effectively engage the electorate in Rivers State ahead of the upcoming elections.
