Onjeh Backs Alia, Dismisses Moro's Criticism Ahead of 2027

In a statement issued on Monday in Makurdi, Daniel Onjeh, a member of the APC, countered Senator Abba Moro's call for Idoma voters to turn against Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia ahead of the 2027 elections. Onjeh described Moro's remarks as desperate political moves that do not reflect the reality on the ground in Benue South.

He emphasized that the people of the region recognize the ongoing development projects under Alia's administration, including water projects in Ogbadibo and road improvements in Agatu. Onjeh noted that the governor's performance has surpassed that of previous administrations, urging the people to continue their support for Alia.

He highlighted that the development efforts are visible and will gradually reach every part of the state. Onjeh expressed confidence that the Idoma people will stand with Governor Alia in the upcoming elections, dismissing Moro's criticisms as politically motivated distractions.
